Cylon Shines at IEEE PES GTD Asia 2025: Chinese Busway Technology Impresses in Bangkok
Release time: 2025-12-02
BANGKOK, Thailand – November 27, 2025 – The IEEE PES GTD Grand International Conference and Exposition Asia 2025 (IEEE PES GTD Asia 2025), a premier three-day event for power generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy, opened grandly today at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok. As a leading enterprise in China’s busway sector, Cylon Electric made a strong appearance with its core product portfolio. Showcasing “Smart, Efficient, Green, and Low-carbon” technical solutions, Cylon Electric demonstrated the robust capabilities of Chinese electrical manufacturing to global industry partners, becoming a focal point of the exhibition.

Organized by the IEEE, the exhibition is themed “Accelerating the Energy Carbon Neutrality Revolution to Build Sustainable Future Energy.” It has attracted over 300 leading exhibitors and more than 10,000 professional visitors globally, covering core fields such as power generation equipment, transmission and distribution systems, and renewable energy. It stands as the largest and most professional international gathering for the power industry in Southeast Asia. As a world-class exhibition landmark in Bangkok, the QSNCC, which has hosted major events like the APEC Summit, provided a premium platform with its comprehensive facilities and accessibility.

Cutting-Edge Technology on Display
At the exhibition, Cylon Electric highlighted its core innovations, including the CY-L Series Compact Busway, Fire-Resistant Busway, and Intelligent Monitoring Systems.
The CY-L Series Compact Busway features 99.95% high-purity electrolytic copper conductors, a rated current of up to 6300A, and an IP65 protection rating. These specifications reduce power loss by 4.5 percentage points compared to traditional cables, making the system perfectly adapted to Thailand’s high-temperature, high-humidity climate and the rigorous demands of infrastructure projects.
Furthermore, Cylon’s digital busway products, equipped with intelligent temperature monitoring systems, achieved a fault prediction accuracy of 99.6%. This technology enables real-time status monitoring and predictive maintenance, drawing widespread attention from Southeast Asian power companies and engineering contractors.
Addressing the rapid growth of Thailand’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) market, Cylon Electric also showcased automotive high-voltage wiring harness solutions. These solutions have already been validated by international giants such as BYD and Volkswagen, demonstrating strong localization capabilities.

Strategic Expansion into ASEAN
Zhang Dixiang, General Manager of Cylon Electric’s Overseas Business Division, stated: “As a core market for power equipment in Southeast Asia, Thailand’s ‘Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC)’ plan and smart grid construction offer us vast opportunities. Participating in this exhibition is not only a showcase of our 26 years of technical accumulation in the busway field but also a strategic move to respond to the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ and expand our footprint in the ASEAN market.”
Cylon Electric has built a comprehensive industry chain covering design, R&D, production, and service, holding over 300 technical patents. The company has been ranked among the top three “Top 10 Busway Brands in China” for consecutive years, with products certified by authoritative standards such as ISO9000 and CCC.
Market Impact and Future Outlook
Currently, Thailand’s wire and cable industry is expanding at an average annual rate of 12%, with the market size expected to exceed 1.5 trillion THB in 2024. Infrastructure upgrades, the new energy industry, and industrial automation are the three core drivers. Leveraging its customized production capabilities and high cost-effectiveness, Cylon Electric reached preliminary cooperation agreements with five local Thai enterprises during the exhibition, covering areas such as smart community power supply systems and new energy power station transmission projects.
At the concurrent summit forum, Cylon Electric’s technical experts delivered a keynote speech on “The Application of Smart Busways in Carbon Neutrality,” sharing successful cases in shipbuilding and medical systems, which won high praise from international peers.
This exhibition marks the official launch of Cylon Electric’s strategy to deeply cultivate the Southeast Asian market. Looking ahead, relying on Thailand’s geographical advantages and policy incentives, the company plans to establish a regional service center in the Eastern Economic Corridor. This hub will provide localized technical support and rapid response services to ASEAN countries, empowering the region’s energy infrastructure upgrades and green low-carbon transformation.
