Cloud computing, a type of distributed computing technology, is an important technical support in the Internet era. Recently, Cylon Electric Industrial Group successfully won the bid for the power supporting busbar project of a cloud computing super center in Wuxi. Manager Yan of the Technical Department led the technical team and arrived at the Wuxi project site immediately to conduct measurements.
Cloud computing is an ultra-large-scale, virtualized, easily scalable, and low-cost service delivery and consumption model. Users can obtain services on-demand through the network, which is regarded as the future development trend of the entire information industry. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) have jointly identified five cities to pioneer pilot projects for cloud computing service innovation in China, including Wuxi, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou.
As China’s Internet of Things (IoT) cloud computing center, Wuxi, upon completion, will become a service, R&D, and engineering technology center for cloud computing. Its deployed high-performance computer system will reach a peak computing capacity of 500 trillion operations per second. The Yunhai Chuangxiang Cloud Storage Industrial Base covers an area of 73 mu (approx. 4.87 hectares). Yunhai Chuangxiang is the first enterprise in China capable of providing a complete system from a cloud data storage operation and management platform to customer terminals. According to Wuxi’s published IoT industry cloud computing plan, it will provide front-end incubation, intermediate application services, and back-end cloud data centers within the application industry chain, striving to become the core gathering area for the cloud computing field in East China within three to five years.
